In 1967, Opel reinstated the Olympia name. The Olympia A was a more luxurious version of the Opel Kadett B. These cars often came with a black vinyl roof to make it more distinct from the cheaper Kadett. The Olympia A was withdrawn from production in 1970 and replaced by the Opel Ascona.
