The Willys MB jeep, also made as the almost identical Ford GPW, is a small, all-purpose four-wheel-drive off-road vehicle used by the Allies in World War II, produced in large numbers by the United States, from 1941 to 1945.

The Willys (and Ford) jeeps were considered by many Americans, including General and later President Eisenhower, General George Marshall and Pulitzer Prize-winning war journalist Ernie Pyle, as one of the important means by which World War II was won. Due to its good construction and performance, great availability and positive media, the small jeep gained a certain iconic status.
