- The DB5 is known for its use in the James Bond films. In 1964, the car was first seen in the third film Goldfinger, with a number of gadgets: license plates that change at the touch of a button, an ejector seat for unwanted passengers, a bulletproof screen and a navigation system. The DB5 appeared again in the subsequent film Thunderball (1965).
