The Javelin is a twin-engine all-weather interceptor aircraft that served in the RAF from the mid-1950s to the late 1960s. It was a delta wing aircraft with a T-tail, designed for day and night operations and was the last aircraft design to bear the Gloster name. It was introduced in 1956 and was eventually succeeded by the English Electric Lightning. The aircraft modelled here has been preserved and is today at the Norfolk and Suffolk Aviation Museum (NASAM) in Flixton, Suffolk.
This Premium series model features additional details, including the option to display the landing gear unfolded, or up if the sturdy stand is used. It also comes with armament and possibly mountable tanks. The paint finish beautifully mimics that of the real aircraft and the markings are perfectly replicated. Limited edition of 360 pieces.
