The ID 19 was similar to the DS, but without the power brakes, power steering and hydraulic semi-automatic transmission. The ID was also less luxuriously equipped.
The next variant debuted at the Salon de l'Auto in October 1958: the ID 19 Break. The estate car was presented in two versions: one with two emergency seats in the boot and another with three folding seats between the front and rear seats.
Then there was the simply equipped Commerciale and an ambulance.
From October 1959, the Breaks were in the showrooms.
