MERDC camouflage is a system of standardised camouflage colours for military vehicles, developed by the US Army's Mobility Equipment Research and Design Command (MERDC) in the 1970s. Each vehicle-specific paint scheme consisted of a colour placement pattern and a combination of four of the 12 colours from the Federal Standard 595 (FS595) colour reference.
The colours and pattern could be modified as the environment changed.
